Frequently Asked Questions
+How far in advance should we book?
Most couples book 18 months to 1 year from their wedding date. You’ll get your pick of vendors this way!
+ What do we need to reserve our date with you?
To book a wedding date, I require a $500 deposit and a signed agreement.
+ Can we pay with a credit card?
Unfortunately, no. Cash, check, or money order only.
+ When is the balance on our package due?
The balance on all packages is due 30 days before the wedding date. You are welcome to make payments up until the wedding. I will provide you with a receipt via e-mail.
+ Do you travel?
YES! I love to travel and have traveled as far as Paris for a wedding. All I ask is that you cover the travel expenses for my second shooter and I. Please contact me for more details. I've been known to give amazing deals for unique venues and locations!
+ Who chooses the photos for our wedding album?
I usually make the initial photo choices for your album. This jump starts the design process and you’ll get complete say over the album after that. I think you'll love what I come up with, but if you don't, I'll happily work with you on a redesign. Just send me a list of 30-50 of your favorite images.
+ How many photos will we get from our wedding?
This depends entirely on the wedding and the time allowed for photography. Contact me for more information and we’ll talk about details!
+ How long will it take to get our photos?
Turn around time for wedding galleries is typically 4-6 weeks, depending on the time of year.
+ Do we get the print rights to our engagement photos too?
Yes, you do! They’ll be high resolution edited JPEG files.
+ Our venue is REALLY dark. Will that be a problem for you?
I've shot in everything from wine cellars to dark apartments. I haven’t met a church or reception venue that I couldn't light!
+ Will you be photographing our wedding?
Of course! If you choose a package with two photographers, it'll be myself and another professional photographer.
+ What happens if you get sick on our wedding day?
Thankfully, I've never had this issue and hope I never will. If your wedding day package includes a 2nd photographer (most do), the 2nd photographer would step up to document your day with no problem. They or I would also find an available 2nd to assist them. I'm very lucky to be a part of an amazing local community of photographers that I would be able to call on if needed. Ann Arbor is pretty great like that!
+ Can I send you my Pinterest boards?
Yes, please do! However, keep in mind that your wedding will have it's own "Pinterest worthy" photographs. Don't stress about creating moments or photographs that you saw online; let your day unfold naturally and you'll have your own amazing memories that will outshine any random photograph you saw on Pinterest.
