Wedding Photographs That Matter

Letโ€™s be real here.

Your wedding is an important occasion. In fact, itโ€™s pretty damn special if we really get down to it.

But all those pretty details youโ€™ve chosen, planned and worked hard over, the party, the dinner, the tower of cake and all the other details are only one part of what makes this day extraordinary.

Because when you throw into the mix that itโ€™s the day the two of you stand up, face each other and say,
โ€˜Hey, letโ€™s do life as a married couple!โ€™,
that turns it into something pretty frickinโ€™ special, right?

Thatโ€™s the stuff that makes this day worth remembering. And however you choose to celebrate it, with whoever you pick to witness it, is exactly what it should be.

I joyfully photograph weddings of all shapes and sizes, couples of all varieties and backgrounds, and love in all its forms right here in Ann Arbor and Metro Detroit, Michigan, as well as anywhere else you feel like inviting me.

Every wedding is totally unique. Partly because of the pretty details, but mostly because of you and your friends and family. And, in my experience, no wedding fits into the cookie-cutter mold of a set time to do all the things. For this reason, I keep things simple with one customizable base package and all the help youโ€™ll need to make a schedule where you can spend quality time with friends and family, AND get all the portraits you want.

Because the most beautiful authentic moments happen when youโ€™re not rushed for time, and when youโ€™re least expecting them.

Saying no to the big wedding and opting for something way smaller? Thereโ€™s only one answer when you ask me if I shoot elopement photography, too. HELL YES! Frequently Asked QUESTIONS

  • Turnaround for online wedding galleries is roughly 6 weeks, depending on the time of year. I'll give you a rough estimate at the time of the wedding. Your images will be available immediately after they're finished via a digital download. Youโ€™re free to make prints, albums, etc. after that!

  • I've shot in everything from wine cellars to dark apartments. I havenโ€™t met a church or reception venue that I couldn't light!

  • Of course! If you choose a package with two photographers, it'll be me and if you booked a second shooter, another professional photographer.

  • Thankfully, I've never had this issue, and hope I never will. If your wedding day package includes a 2nd photographer (most people book this), the 2nd photographer would step up to document your day with no problem. They or I would also find an available 2nd to assist them. I'm very lucky to be a part of an amazing local community of photographers that I would be able to call on if needed. Ann Arbor is pretty great like that!

  • Yes, please do! However, keep in mind that your wedding will have its own "Pinterest-worthy" photographs. Don't stress about creating moments or photographs that you saw online; let your day unfold naturally and you'll have your own amazing memories that will outshine any random photograph you saw on Pinterest.

  • Yes, and a lot of couples do. If youโ€™re just going to a location for photos, allow about 30-45 minutes per location, not including travel time to be there.
